I'll be fishing Halibut in the San Juans this season and could use some suggestions on where to go. I know about Hein Bank but something less exposed might be better. Anyone out there happen to have San Juan Islands experience???
Having lived in the San Juans for 14 years, you will have much better chance of success the farther out you go. I'm sure there are a few scattered Halibut amongst the islands, but not likely a reliably fishable amount.
