Hello stagers,
Here's a trivia question about our Nation's symbol, The Bald Eagle.
Who in a letter to his daughter, dated January 26th 1784, said that the Bald Eagles was " A bird of bad moral character ".
I've been accused before having bad moral character, but I assure you it wasn't me they were writing about.

Well, the Tom’s heads do have red, white and blue phases, but I believe we chose wisely with the eagle!

It was Ben Franklin as everyone above has said also. The reason he didn't want the eagle as the national symbol is because the eagle is mostly a scavenger and only hunts when there isn't anything already dead easily available.

Wow stagers,
You all are πŸ’― percent correct πŸ‘
Ben Franklin referred to Bald Eagle as " A bird of bad moral character.
I currently have a rereading hairline, but should I ever go Bald I'll call myself The, Bald Eagle.
When asked why I'll tell them I'm " A bird of bad moral character ".

I believe that it was Ben Franklin who lobbied to have the turkey as our National symbol.
