Went ultralight jigging in 52 degree Carnegie Lake this afternoon in the rain π§οΈ during a south wind gale. Caught nothing. Lost one fish π before losing my lure to a snag on the bottom of the lake, then quitting early. Two fishermen with an umbrella βοΈ were catching fish π£ with worm πͺ± bait when I arrived, but left soon after I started fishing. As I was leaving, another fisherman arrived. Saw eagles π¦
, Canada geese, ducks, cormorants, gulls, herons, an egret, blackbirds π¦ββ¬, a squirrel πΏοΈ and shad. Took lots of photos. May try crow π¦ββ¬ hunting until Sunday, then ultralight jigging in a new spot.
I would say that you caught some nice pictures. I hope it stops raining on your parade.
Nice photos bands, l was out as well for a couple of hours and caught just one small pickerel but did see a pair of buffleheads which is bit unusual for our locale.

Haven't hunted crows since I was a kid in Iowa. They filled the hole after all other bird seasons closed. Tons of fun with an owl decoy!

Nowadays in NJ you can hunt snow geese through April 6 if you buy a permit.
