Hi Kristen, Welcome to the Stage. It's always a good idea to let the group know a few things to help them help you. Examples: Do you fish freshwater or saltwater, with or without a boat, species you seek, preferred tackle type, etc.
Folks here are more than willing to contribute to your enjoyment and success.

Good morning Kristen. Welcome. There are lots of great people on the Stage. We love to help other’s and enjoy sharing our own and other’s experiences and hopefully success. This time of year is still a lot of BSing going on, but as the weather warms around the country the fish stories become more common. The Stage is like a big extended family sharing our joys and sorrows.

Explore the site by clicking through the tabs on the top of the page. Welcome and enjoy!

nutz4fish hit it right on. I would just like to add that specific questions, especially regarding tackle and technique will get you more responses than how's the fishing questions. Photos, even if not your best day are appreciated. They give us a better knowledge of what your fishing body of water looks like, not so much care about the exact location, but the type water you are fishing. There are hundreds of years of experience on here. The more we know, the more we can help. Just a side note: I have been posting on here for several years now and have never gotten any spam or other computer problems from the sight. Learn, contribute and enjoy.

Welcome to The Stage, Kristin! I'm a few miles north of you in Oxnard. Great fishing out at the Channel Islands here. Oxnard is the Gateway to the Channel Islands! We also have some nice freshwater lakes here in Ventura County, including Lake Casitas and Lake Piru, and some other close ones in Santa Barbara County and Los Angeles County, which include Lake Cachuma, Castaic Lake and Pyramid Lake. I haven't fished them all yet, but I plan to, since i just moved back this past November after being gone from Oxnard in 40 years! LOL!

Tight Lines and have fun here!!! We have a great bunch of helpful anglers, waiting to answer or respond to any posts you provide. :-)
