Today was a good day on the water in spite of the wind gust was up to 35 mph.
Spot lock didn’t really help and I left my anchor home, Oops.
Caught some at my favorite spot 23 feet deep and even found some on a grass flat in 12 feet deep.
Nice fish and some of the best eating

I'm guessing that's crappie? Nice catching, Ice; congrats! I've never seen one that color.
Nice one Ice Man. I fish WP Lake a lot. Glad to see something was biting that day. I found what was probably crappie on Lake Eufaula (AL) the same day while fishing for bass. They would peck at my Manns augertail worm and there were a bunch of them stacked around an old standing tree I fish frequently (on my Hook2 in side scan) up in a creek. I was dragging a minnow on a pole while bass fishing, but they did not want it for some reason.
Tim, most of the time from my experiences with crappie is they don’t like moving baits much.
They will hit them sometimes but they prefer something hanging around just above their heads.
Yes, I have heard that before. I have caught bunches sitting stationary dangling minnows over them.
Thanks for the tip.
