My opinion only...
I've been on the stage about 4 years.
Our society is getting angrier and meaner and I feel the stage has been reflecting that a bit lately. Most topics are pleasant but more than before people are popping off when they disagree with a stager's opinion. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I've noticed more than several stagers have left all together but stil communicate with close friend stagers, some who left come back on occasianally, and some still contribute but much, much less.

This is supposed to be fun. Let's be nice. If you want to be mean go to a different site, please.

Ed

Wow, you hit the nail on the head. I truly considered leaving the stage last month due to exactly what you’re speaking about.. rather than leaving because I do enjoy the fishing contents of the stage. I’ve decided to stay out of the attic(did make a recent post though… the poison got me) and to not respond to anything that is non-positive fishing related. I think this is the best for me personally to continue to enjoy this site. I agree 100% that within the last several months I’ve noticed firsthand how political and confrontational a of a lot of posts and responses have become. I personally spoke to administration about my concerns with unsatisfactory results. Thank you for sharing your concerns and I’m glad I’m not alone when it comes to this topic.!

Hmmm, I've been sayin this for a long time Ed. Hasn't helped a whole lot but at least others have noticed too.
Many, many time I've contacted individuals about the way they post but many of them never changed. They continue to want to stir up trouble. They just can't seem to understand that you don't HAVE to respond to every post you read.
Lots of post I read I don't agree with so I don't respond to that post. In turn, that means I'm not following that post and I'm not part of the conversation about that subject.
Why others can't seem to do the same is beyond me.
Please guys, if you happen to read a post you don't like, click off of it and MOVE ON. Don't leave a nasty remark KNOWING that it'll start an argument. 😕👎

I just went a step further and unscribed to the Attic.
Just WAY to out there for me so it's better for me to not even read those posts.
That way.i can insure that I won't make any remarks that I shouldn't. 👍

Your saying this actually does help, you just don’t know it. It helps me anyway, most of the time when I read something and have an opinion and instead of posting a comment I keep quiet and let it go, I often think of you when I do so. Thank you for reminding us

I agree with you Saw. If I don't agree with a post, I just move on to the next one. I also unscrided from the attic.

Thank you Uncle T. That really means alot.
I just hope others can come to that understanding as well.
I was taught that "If you can't say something nice then it is better to not say anything at all."
If we all practiced this there would be MUCH LESS arguing/confrontations.
In my opinion that would make a MUCH more pleasant Fishin Stage. 🤠👍

Thanks mistred, I try very hard to go by the 3 Gates
1. Is it true?
2. Is it kind?
3. Is it necessary?
I believe affirmation and support for fellow stagers will go a long way to grow friendships, however even in the finest gardens you will get a few weeds!! " Just sayn'' thanks for your post.🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲

Well said. Number one rule in the house growing up was “ If you don’t have nothing nice to say don’t say it “, which was hard at times, since I was one of five siblings. 😂
