I truly believe there must be errors in the Bible for the simple reason that even the very first Bible was written by a human. Humans, by their very nature are flawed and subject to mistakes. Now after a couple thousand years of copies being made, again by humans, even more errors creep in.
I also believe that the original version was more carried village to village by story tellers, that's how news traveled those days, for the simple reason that most people then could neither read or write. And oral stories change much more rapidly than any other method of t***sferring information.
