Hello. I live in Maryland, more specifically, the very southern tip of Anne Arundel County, near Wayons Corner. There's a public pier on the Patuxent River at Hills Bridge along Route 4. I often see people fish there, but it's often too crowded for my liking, but I'd love to be updated on the Yellow Perch and White Perch fishing activity leading up to their spawns. I'm not an avid fisherman, so I could use some help, lol.

All of us can use "Some Help" LOL
I'm up in Severn, but Red Worms, Night Crawlers, and Shrimp for bait work good on them.
Blood Worms do better, but cost so much right now.
Anglers was at $20 a Dozen last time I looked. Number 4 or 6 Hooks are what I would be using, I prefer long shank as they are easier to remove from the fish.

Hi DJ, welcome to the forum. You can also use minnows for yellow perch. They love em!

Have you tried Kings Landing? There is a fishing pier there. Also, Lower Marlboro has a small public fishing pier. Pull up Google earth, if you have it, and run the Patuxent and you can see some of them.
There used to be a 60' hole at the confluence of western branch and Patuxent, at Mount Calvert Historical and Archeological Park. it has a small pier for kayaks, i think. When the perch start running, you'd think salmon were running.
I'm in Calvert County near Breezy Point.

Best bet is purchase a kayak, canoe or small boat. You don't need anything fancy. As long as it floats lol then u should have little trouble in finding a quiet spot. Look for deep holes and fish with the bait suggested or small grubs, inclined spinners but minnows do seem to work best for both species of Perch.
