Does anyone know where to purchase Wacky Worm flies? Or, have a description of how to tie them?

Do you mean a San Juan worm?

No, my spin fish buddies use a 4 inch rubber worm, usually purplish, and put a hook through the middle of it and cast it. When it hits the surface it sinks with a wiggling motion as it heads to the bottom. The bass love it and they catch the occasional trout as well. It would be so nice to use a fly that duplicates that motion

Very simple tie....get some medium size chenille which comes in many colors and cut off about 4” and burn each tip slightly with a match so it doesn’t ravel and tie it down in the middle of a hook.
Very simple, just look up how to tie a San Juan worm and modify the directions.
