As a spouse of a truck driver I can tell you it's very difficult, if not impossible to get a bunch of trucker to agree to anything like that. There is always some who say if the wheels ain't turning, I'm no earning, so they won't agree.
That said, no truck driver wants to go to NYC.

I've heard stories from other drivers about people in NYC driving right up to the rear of the trailer and someone would climb out of that vehicle, usually a pick up, onto the hood and break the seal or cut the lock and open the doors of the trailer so they can toss cargo back to someone else to load into the pick up. This goes on while the semi is driving down the road. Most truckers don't even stop at stop signs or lights because of this. Stopped at a light is where the doors are opened. Emptying stuff out going down the road.
