I also work for Lacy's Express on 26 E. Mill Rd in Pedricktown, NJ and I'll hopefully start fishing at work on lunch break during the summer. What's the best bait to use in salt water in the creek in Pedricktown, NJ

You want easy or pretty good? Both without breaking your wallet.
1) go to Walmart, buy a bag a Small Frozen Raw Shrimp. It in 4-6 small Tupperware like containers.
in the morning, grab one, add some water to it and by the time your ready to fish, it is thawed out.
When done fishing throw out the left overs and tomorrow fish where you threw them out. IE Chuming.
2) Again at Walmart buy some NON Iodized Salt. Get some chicken livers. Drain them wash them off and blot them dry. Cut them into smaller pieces and put an inch of salt on the bottom of a large Tupperware type flat container.
Fill the first layer and then do another, ect until full or the liver used up.
Leave it for 3-4 days, Your Salt Curing the liver. It will have a hard outer layer that when it hit the water, A) the salt will be gone.
B) it will turn soft and the fish will bite it.
What you don't use at home put in the fridge, it won't go bad. Again you can "Chum" with the left overs after lunch to draw the fish in for tomorrow.
Hope that helps out. Bloodworms a Wayyyyy to high!

They are going for $20 a dozen for normal ones and $20 per 6 for giant ones, at Anglers in Maryland by the Bay Bridge to Kent Island.

That's why I said they are way to high. LOL
But if I use them, I only use an 1/8 inch piece for Spot and Perch. Then I use the small ones of those as cut bait.
But I can get those to bite on the shrimp instead.
