I've watched a fair number of people die. Family, friends and clients as a caregiver. The courage they had was knowing when to stop fighting and let things go.

Yes, there is a lot to be said for that. One has to know when to give it to God and accept what is.
For believers, we start by giving it to God and accept what is. He holds us in His hand and will take care of us. It all works out for the best. Even when we can't see it that way.

Life is so much better when you give it to God, instead of trying to do it alone. It reminds me of an old TV show -
β€œFather Knows Best”. πŸ˜‰

I started "doing it alone" when I turned 21. I like it that way. Anything good or bad that's happened in my life, I take responsibility for. No credit or blame on anyone else. Works for me despite what others think.

Yeah, I agree with you. I've made mistakes, like falling in love with the first wife and finding out later she didn't love me. My fault for not seeing the signs, but when your in love you get blind to things.
