I believe you are right about that, Steve; or at least that’s how it used to be, anyway. I don’t remember the age that the restriction ends.

Any money made between 62 and 65 is highly taxed if you retire at 62. If you wait and retire at 65 you can make as much money as you want but your SS will be taxed on a sliding scale based on the amount of money you made that year

I retired at 58 and started collecting SS at 62. I receive bout $500. less a month than I would have gotten if I waited till I was 66 to collect.
It will take 12 years for it to get to the point that I'll start losin any money. So I'll be 78 years old before I will be losin 500 dollars a month over what I will have already collected.
For me it was a no brainer.
All the things I've been able to do because I didn't have to go to work for those first 4 years was worth it.
Thankfully, the Lord made it possible for me to be able to do it.
There's not a day goes by that I don't give thanks for all the blessings that the Lord has given me.
There's not enough hours in the day for me to list them one by one so I just have to say "Thank You Lord for all the blessings you give me every minute of every day."
Besides, my memory isn't good enough for me to remember all the ways how the Lord has, and still continues to, bless me every minute of every day.
How bout every breath you take or every beat of your heart. ALL the things we take for granted are NOT. They are blessings. Saw1.😔🙏
