How often do you guys replace your fly lines? I feel like I’m lucky to get one season out of mine. I believe it to be that those lines are not meant to stretch as much while casting, as often as they do, etc.

How often do you stretch and clean your line? I feel like you should at least get a couple or more seasons out of a line. Definitely go through a few leaders though.

I do clean them almost every other time I use them. Same with any other kind of fly line (ex. Trout taper, skagit, scandi). I just burn through those ultra heavy sink esox lines like crazy it seems.

after some poking around in some forums a lot of people have lines lasting multiple years. I saw a couple references to around 250 days of use.
What is happening to your line that it needs replacing? cracking? getting knicked and rough? just not casting well? What are you cleaning with?

Plastic chips off exposing the chord. It works but stripping in line with teeth like a circular saw isn’t kind to the fingers. Loon cleaning product

Every season. They wear out fast when you actually use them.
