Well, I'm not sure but I will bet that it is a fruit that was already here when the country was founded.
I'm tryin to think what fruit the Indians had.
Will get back to you if I come up with one.

Is it cherry 🍒 ?
I thought of cherries, George Washington.
I thought of apples, Newton.
I've thought of oranges, Florida.
I've thought of peaches, Georgia.
But didn't know if any but the cherry was here way back then.
NOW, Sue and I were lookin at the grocery store ad to see if there was anything we wanted at the store.
I then saw strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries on sale and then I wondered.
I have been thinkin of all the fruits grown in the US like I mentioned earlier and I wondered. Are berries considered a fruit?
I know the Indians had berries that they mixed with dried meat and made Pemmican.
What do y'all think? Can we call berries a fruit or are we talkin cherries, apples, oranges, peaches and the like?
