No fish for me at Lake Amador, Ca. today. Trolling top water with many different presentations. Saw lots of fish, good sized ones. But there was so many bait fish on my Panoptic live scan sonar. Even on Traditional view billions of bait fish. I think the Trout are full. People were catching some from the bank or bottom fishing using Powerbait. Some trolling boats got a few, "I should have used spoons" according to one boater with a 10 pounder and three small ones. Oh well... that's fishing!

That's definitely not bad, Amador can be chocolate milk after big rains.

I was thinking about Camanche Reservoir next time. Going East from the north shore following the old river bottom.

Hi all, it's nice to see exchanges that include the location and something about the baits/lures used. Maybe it is the "rule" that information is not included, to protect the fishing hole of the person writing, and I guess that is Okay. But I have seen this website used to exchange between individuals as if it was their own listserv. If that is to be the case, I'd suggest that those members start their own listserv and allow this site for the greater good (improvement!) of the other members who wish to enjoy through learning some aspect of their fishing knowledge they did not know. Apologies to those that I may have offended... :|

I agree, I joined to learn where, when, how and what they are biting on. Just trying to enjoy some fresh fish. This site is for helping fishing people fish better. If you want to keep your secrets then I don't want to see your fish picture.
