Had to find different bodies of water this year due to bad ice conditions on the big lakes. We decide to go to a small pond in town on family owned side of pond.It paid off big for me and my brother from Florida. I got 1st place black crappie on Saturday and he got 3rd place black crappie on Sunday. Not only did my 1st place fish break the state record for length (not weight)it won the grand prize in the drawing. What a weekend!!.
Nice Job Tom, and congrats on your winnings.
Be careful on that sketchy ice.
Which pond? I think they might have to drop the “Ice” from the name soon. The ice has been iffy now for a few years.
Nice fish!!
I feel the same way. I like fishing for lakers but couldn't find any good ice this year! The pond is in Sanbornton .

Give me a shout this summer. We can head out for striped bass.
Nice fish.
Ice fishing has been on my bucket list ever I saw Grumpy Old Men (25 years ago?) which has to be in the top ten all time movies. I have a good friend who grew up and lives in Minnesota who doesn’t ice fish. He is a good fisherman and we have been to Canada 8 or 10 times. But, he says ice fishing is just an excuse to drink (who ever needed an excuse if they really wanted a drink?).
I would be interested in trading a couple days of inshore fishing on the AL Gulf Coast for a couple days ice fishing.
Wow !! Congratulations Tom ! Awesome Crappie !👍🤙Thank You for sharing ,and Congrats again !🤙
You're welcome and thank you
That is a really nice fish!
pretty cool. How long was the champion? I caught a 17.5 inch crappie last June on Winnipesauke. Moultonborough part of the lake
