Hello fishing folks, I go by bassmanksk (long A sound) because I used to play bass guitar in some local bands. NOT because I'm a great bass fisherman. I love to fish for just about anything biting but usually chase the ol' basses. I live in central Mississippi and have an old BassTracker that does the job for me. I look forward to discussing the finer and funner points of my favorite obsession with anyone anywhere.

Welcome bassman. There are plenty of bass fishermen on the Stage. You may have to wade through a lot of other (I’m sure very important) stuff on here. Try to title your posts with words referring to your catch or targeted species. I’m a dedicated bass guy myself so maybe we can swap tactics, strategies and the occasional lie. Hello bassman. I was born and raised in Mississippi but left when I was 17. I have a brother who lives in our childhood home. Do you ever fish in the east side of the state, like at Okatibbee or the private lake in Lauderdale county called Dalewood?

I haven't fished either of those, I often fish the Pearl River north of Ross Barnett. I have also fished Bay Springs, Trace State Park, Kemper County lake, and several others in central and north MS. I live in Kosciusko.
