Gordon, There are places that will load your VHS tapes onto DVD's for ya. Walmarts has a DVD player for $30. Might wanna consider doing that ?

I still have a functioning VHS, as well as a DVD and a blueray.

I don't think they transcribe the VHS tapes there, you're gonna have to do a search to find a local place that does that. We had one in my small town called " Copies and Computer Services " but they've gone out of business here. Good Luck. 🍀 .
