When I first joined years ago I truly enjoyed this site for the great fishing info. It seems to me now that this site has lost its relevance. There are so many posts now that are non fishing related, photo of the day, trivia questions, thought for today, weather reports etc, when I first joined the site there was a lot of great fishing info, not so much now. It seems like the site has turned into a facebook page. Lets look at todays report, over fifty percent is non fishing related. Yes im guilty of responding to several posts. But had many friends on the site express their same concerns and question whether they find this site valuable to them. Seems like it has become a general chitchat site to me. Look up the newest posts. 75 percent is non fishing. Do I need to know about eating ants! Or what your family’s health issues are! And I mean that with no disrespect I thought it was an informative site that addressed fishing topics !Just my opinion!

I understand your point Rich, but keep in mind that 1/2 of the country can't fish right now. Unless we want to drill a hole in the water, and the ice is thick enough.

Understood my friend. It’s a l legitimate.argument. Thought about mentioning that argument , but honestly I don’t think it matters. Been here though the summer. Same posts!

S a w, take a stroll back in time and pull up summer time postings and see if the percentage changes.
You say 75% is non fishing on the newest post and I have to agree with Fred that 1/2 half of the country ( and I bet that figure could be higher ) is drilling the ice or with a lot of the older generation just not going out in the cold for a single fish.
You guys out west and the southern folks generally keep us wishing for warmer weather and post some good pics and stories. Can not say I see a steady flow of info from California nor Florida to keep the fishing talk going.
Some time back I sent Admin a question when I did not see a single CC or Main post on anything. His reply was that it is the slow time of the year.

I agree with Steve as well, concerning the new format. Before, whenever you opened the digest, the first thing you saw was the Main section. If nothing else interested you, you stopped reading after that. Now you have to select the section you want, or everything is mixed together. I've been here 4 yrs, and while there's more " Chitchat " today than when I joined, most of it is informative, along with entertaining. Everyone controls whichever sections they see when they log on, and can unsubscribe to any they don't like. JMHO.

Thank you my friend. Met and fished with great friends here but I believe that the site ha lost its focus. Peace be to all of you! Time to move on! So many great sites that focus on fishing! Not worried about eating ants!
