Goob Loc: Medford and Florence Oregon

Hello,
My name is Goob and I’m mainly interested in Oregon coastal fisheries from Brookings to Newport for near and offshore fishing as well as coastal rivers (Chetco, Rogue, Upmqua, and Siuslaw). I just traded my 2015 18.5’ Kingfisher for a 2004 Seaswirl 21’ Striper. I have some near shore fishing experience but I’m a newbie to offshore fishing. The fish I like to target are Salmon, Rockfish, Lingcod, Halibut, Perch, and Tuna. Offshore areas I am interest in are Stonewall bank, Heceta bank, and Siltcoos bank. My main residence is in Medford and I have a second house in Florence where I trailer my boat and will do all my fishing from. I would really like to find someone to “buddy boat” with for fishing these banks. Looking forward to any insights or tips from this forum.

Your in Fishing Paradise GOOB welcome to the Fishingstage. I would enjoy joining you to fish for absolute sure. I am very familiar with Medford as well. I will Private Message you. All the rivers and locations you mentioned are great. The Rogue and most Oregon Rivers had Phenomenal Fish size and numbers in 2023. The rule changes over the last several decades and more recently obviously made a difference in the state Ocean and River Fishing. If I don’t send my information please remind me. I’m up North but Retired and loving every day of it. I love being down in the region you mentioned and will be going to a get together in Northern California that is a Fishingstage private event. I will and can meet up with you on way down or up. Can make more trips and hope to fish with you in 24.
