Check out the nearest bait and tackle you can find. They usually have what you need.

Just spent a week there. Great place. Fished the northern side side of inlet. Nice pier. Caught some black drum, jacks and a bunch of cat fish. Been fishing there for years. Usually June vacation. Saw two 400 lb Groupers pulled to the beach. Guys fishing the end of pier. This was in June Sand flea on inlet side of pier we’re catching Sheepheads. Whiteys bait and tackle is north of entrance to park. They have all the bait and tackle you’ll need. Watch for the flag on rt A1A. Live shrimp work great. Tackle store by pier is closed till further notice.

Whiteys is just a little piece from the pier good bait shop or wabasso bait shop is also good both sides are good if you want to catch your own bait south side you can usually catch some at boat ramp or near the little pier back at the campground last two times I was there thanksgiving week and Christmas week it was slow but all the sailcats you want to catch but it’s a neat place I’ve seen mantaa rays there and got to see rocket launchs it’s my oldest sons favorite place to fish we’ve caught some nice fish there before and diner on north side is decent place to eat if you plan on staying all day and after you pay to get in it’s good for both sides for 24 hours you can swap sides if you want to

Fished there in May and had nice snook action around the pier on live bait, not sure about this time of year but Whitey’s can fill you in. Good luck!

No problem buddy I’m sure you will enjoy it even the times we go and fish ain’t biting we always at least see something cool if nothing else is biting and you don’t want to get skunked throw shrimp off north side on ocean side of the pier about the middle you can at least catch a sailcat good luck
