DEVOTION #56 “WAY MORE THAN FUNNY”

Greetings and Happy Sunday all Fishing Stagers and guests!

Recently, with all the news and talk being so negative, divisive, and political, I thought it would be nice to just take a little break from me, Pastor Allen Jackson, or others, and just laugh a little. I also realize too, that not everyone may enjoy Pastor Allen’s preaching as much as I do, but most everyone likes good comedy!
So, today we are going to laugh, and hopefully be inspired by Michael Jr’s jokes and stories. His comedy, and more importantly his inspirational stories, are his ministry. These stories demonstrate how true, point #2 from last week’s devotion (Truth or Deception) is, when we said that not “all preachers/churches are just out for your money”, as some nonbelievers proclaim. I believe if these same people that say these things, would actually get involved in a good church, they would see what that money is REALLY used for!

Anyway, I’m sure you will enjoy Michael Jr, and hope he inspires you all as much as he has me.
God bless you!

Randy, this is awesome. Yes this world is about at the end of this time period, but until that day comes we are told to occupy and do the work God has given us to do. I thought the Helping Hands ministry, using Google Earth to locate homeless people was a super cool ministry. The family receiving the van at the end brought tears of joy to my eyes. And now I think I will go order a Caucasian mocha latte for a refreshment.

Good morning Randy with the # of hits you get each week I do not think many want to take a break from you and personally since I have not been church bound for a few months due to leg issues, I look forward to your threads.

Troy keeps me busy each morning with verses from the good book and on Sunday I try to get in around lunch time. Reminds me of my construction days sitting in the truck getting warm on days like this and listening to the radio.

So I will be back later, Hope your day is starting out well.

Thank you so much for all your support and encouraging words, Bob. I don’t know if you are able to get TBN on your TV, but there are a bunch of good Ministers on that network all through the week, day or night. They have several different stations to pick from, too, with a variety of denominations - all good!
I am pretty much home bound myself right now, because of mobility issues, so I can empathize with you.
