Hydrox or Oreos or maybe neither?

I was partial to Hydrox. The cookie seemed less sweet. Always required a glass of cold milk. Had a blind taste test with my friends when I was a kid and no one could tell the difference. Hydrox have pretty much disappeared but are still made by a nostalgia baker. I’ve seen them in Cracker Barrel. Might be available online.

Well, I guess my taste buds are jaded, since I am well suited for either one. Also, I am fond of chocolate, the more and thicker, the better!

When you have been a 'country boy' all your growing up years, anything 'store bought' was a treat, so I am a poor judge of all tastes. Just Sayin...RJS

Not crazy about devil dogs, but ya got me craving a ring ding, cold from the frig, and a big glass of milk. Haven't had one for decades, but tomorrow I'm getting some.

If you shop online a lot, like I do, it's worth it. We have no porch pirates around here that I'm aware of, so it's a great deal. Returns are easy, no static. Now, if I'm in a big hurry, I get it at a bricks and mortar location. I told the hardware store guy, if he met their prices and delivered, I'd choose him every time. Nothing against him, and I realize he's gonna go under, but times change. The only downside for me is that I'd prefer that the few local kids that want to work there at the entry level jobs are outta luck.

So far we don't have any porch pirates yet. Knock on wood. And I always track them so I know when they are coming. I do use local hardware stores over home depo when I can.
