Well Ugly Stick rods have gone away from Lifetime to 7 year now.
Wife gave me a $50 Walmart gift card and I used it on a 7 foot Ugly Stick rod.
So I have 2 7 foot rods and 2 9foot rods now.
And yes, I heard, "What? You bought another fishing Rod?" LOL
I answered with, "Yes, I used the gift card at Walmart".
It was on Clearance for $41.95
Not as good as my Shock Wave 7 footer, but it will work OK.
Wish they still made the Shock Wave ones.
Sometimes Newer isn't better. LOL

Nothing wrong with an Ugly Stick (I have one left). My Son and DIL found they don’t float, so don’t try that. They decided to sit on top of the PFD cushions I sent with them, and rolled my canoe. Two rods, one of my go-to tackle boxes and a landing net are on the bottom, but still have the kids along with Grandson Buckley and his sibling to arrive in August. A valuable lesson was learned by them that day 😉

Andy C put me on to Ugly stick for fishing some creeks around here. Picked up a 5' at Cabela's and best little rod for walking down the stream one would want.

Im nostalgic about ugly sticks. Still love them.
As an old guy about my current age told me 25 years ago— “haven’t you heard? It’s not the old days anymore.” I was in LL Beans last week when an older guy brought in a pair of boots 3 years old that fell apart. They offered him 10% off of a new pair. I brought my 20 year old boots back 10 years ago that fell apart and they gave me a 100 dollar credit. No more lifetime and it ain’t.the old days anymore!!
