This is a fb post about the kindness of the small church my son attends.

Our hearts are Full of gratitude to each and every one of you who gave of themselves to rescue, shelter, feed, comfort at least 42 stranded people in this treacherous snow storm! Our volunteer fire department working endlessly, country store brought breakfast pizza, school brought food. Blankets, snacks, cassaroles, cookies, drinks came from residents. An outpouring of People calling on how they could help. What a blessing! 42 people were all safe and sound because you gave! And Who did we help? An elderly couple from Ohio trying to get to their brother’s funeral in Broken Bow, a nurse from Methodist hospital trying to get home, truckdrivers from texas hauling loads, families trying to get their kids to Midland college, College kids from SDU going to a ministry conference, and many many stories Together we touched the nation, restored hope and showed them that the Heartland of America has a Big ❤️ heart. Gods blessings on you all

Heart warming story there Joel and I bet many other stories were told as well from that group of people.

Faith in the kindness of the American way is definitely still alive.

Thanks for the pics too. Puts our measly 3" in a whole different category.

This is the type of articles that should be published in newspapers and news media.
All the news they put out is the bad stuff that happens.

Actually Frank, when one of the Omaha, NE TV stations heard about this small churches help to strangers they did send a team out to report it. The pastor was very grateful for the entire small community and recognized them all. (And people say all churches want is your money. NOT!!)

Thanks for the info and a great big thank you to everyone who helped in any way. I bet this happens more than we know. I would much prefer to see stories like this on the news than watch bunches of idiots smash and grab. Glad that everyonr is okay.
