Can't find that funny post about teenage revolt. Leave home, get work, pay for food etc. Help please. I've got one of those critters at home.

Well, if he left home, went to work, and paid for food, he’s doing what’s right and is good. I see no reason to revolt.

Keyword - IF - 14 yrs. and thinks he (grandson) knows it all. He's pretty smart, so with that poster he'll rethink some things.

Gramp used to say, “ when I was 18 I couldn’t believe how dumb my parents were, and by the time I turned 21 I couldn’t believe what they hadlearned in three years!”
I never had that problem I worked from my elementary days climbed into the cotton Gen to push seed in the 2-1/2 ton farm truck, threw News papers since I was in 3rd grade and I enjoyed making my own spending money. I didn't take what my parents did providing the house, food and love was mutual. They worked we worked too. Hard work never killed me, just made me strong, leaned valuable skills. I installed that mindset onto my stepson's, if you don't work your own family someday will starve, your kids will go naked and your wife will find a man who will provide it. Tell the know-it-all to get a job and figure it out and only help after he's made an effort to take care of his own business.

I raised my son that way. Maybe partially out of necessity, we were young parents. He always made his own money. Now he’s a 50 year old father who is a hard worker with hard working kids.
