I like Iced oatmeal cookies with my morning coffee, I know Union soldiers gave Hush puppies to quieten her dogs when they were at camp to keep them and alerting the enemy to their whereabouts from barking hound dogs, but those were not really considered a cookie. I’ve never eaten a persimmon outside of a cookie I have no idea what they taste like
