Drive out there and observe where other people are fishing and ice fishing. At the dam the water is quite deep and the long steep boat ramp is sort of risky. I would recommend the center boat ramp area. Some people just wedge their boat between the trees and fish or jig straight down. Be warned, those trees have been dead a long time and they could be a hazard. The last boat ramp is my choice. nice ramp and dock. There is access to the old part by going under the road bridge. That part of the lake has been there 40 years or longer. People have sunk a lot of exmas trees and fish habitat in select and secret spots through the years. That part of the overall lake isn't nearly as snag infested as the central part of the lake. Huge bass and water clarity is unreal.
