Plus, my son just informed me that the Offensive Lineman who caught the original 2-PAT did, indeed, report-in as an eligible receiver.

I agree there’s a lot to like about the Lions. But even if he did report it was an illegal formation. He needed to be off the line of scrimmage.

If I understand correctly, the officials from last night will be downgraded and are not expected to participate in the play off games. This was not the first game they blew. See Chiefs/Packers game in Week 13 pass interference missed-call among others.
Last night's penalty call was not for illegal formation. It was for illegal touching (the ineligible receiver thing).

Had 2 flags 1 for each infraction. They did miss a pass interference
