I'm an avid Salmon Steelhead fisherman. Who fishes the Umpqua River system most of the time. Also fish occassional central coastal streams. Could use advice on becoming a better fisherman. Would appreciate all advice so I can better myself. Thank you for your time.

I was there on my way home from NorCal Meet and Greet Fishingstage event. I went Halibut fishing and Striper fishing in Umpqua and Smith. Hooked em and ate end. Went on Winchester Bay Chargers. Cole Abraham was my Captain that day. His dad is Tim Abraham.

It's been a bit slow last week.hopefully river is coming up.slider setups with spin and glow with eggs always works.but no fish landed last week or so.as always after the first.

Thank you everyone for the nice welcome. Just a short report on tge upper Main Umpqua. Late last week I made a trip to Cleveland Rapids boat ramp. Saw several boats on the River. One of them hooked 3 Steelhead while I was there and a bank fisherman who was plunking caught and released one. Not too bad for only being there about 2 hours in the afternoon.

Well there is a lot of public land close to bow hunt Roosevelt Elk. I believe the season starts in August or September.

Yep I've hunted tiller, glen and tator mtn. I like oregon reminds me of PA.
