Initially bass fishing and have taken up trout fishing. Onshore spinning reel, i don’t have a boat. I am going to Tahoe and Reno 27-28 and looking for some good spots and tip.

This time of year you won't have many options available.

You could try fishing somewhere along the coast of Lake Tahoe for some nice trout. There is also the Truckee river for browns and rainbows. You can go on YouTube and there are several people who have videos on fishing that area.

The Truckee river is closed to fishin till Spring.
You could fish from shore in Lake Tahoe but it's not the greatest for catching this time of year. But there's always the chance of catchin something. 🙂
