Just moved down here from North Jersey and spent 40 years plus fishing lakes,streams up north,but not Familiar with areas around South Jersey in Upper Township.Any information on where to go would be extremely helpful.

Ponder lodge pond in the villas by North Cape May. If you look up Cox Hall, Creek wildlife management area you’ll see it on the map right now it’s loaded with very nice rainbow trout. There’s large mouth bass Channel cat Fish possibly some black crappie but I’m not sure if they restocked it or not. If you ever out there you see somebody sitting in a swivel chair that’s me. I mostly fish salt and surf, but there's lot of good places for freshwater. Try Maurice river, Bass river.......

Lenape Lake in Mays Landing. Also the abutment on Rt 40 immediately outside Mays Landing.

Good Luck. Lenape Lake is great BUT cedar water so read up about fishing cedar water and change your fishing strategy!!
