I once saw a soup featured on Bizarre Foods called Powsowid that used sheep eyes as the main ingredient. The host, Andrew Zimmerman describes it as a gelatinous grape.
Also on last season of Survivor one of the contestants ate giant fish eyes
So my guess IA soup or dish made with animal or fish eyes.

One episode of Bizarre Foods featured a broth made from Chicken Feet then they batterered and deep fried the left over foot and ate it.
I tried it a home.
My wife wouldn't touch it. She said it looked like a mummified old woman's hand.

The Sicilians have a dish in which the head of a sheep is cooked in tomato sauce. It is considered an honor to be offered one of the eyes. Recall the name phonetically as 'cabu zell'.
