Finally got some more rain in Alpine ca. we didn’t get anywhere near what was predicted but Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara got nailed. The same sky 5 min apart. Taken with my iPad

You’re welcome Fred, I like living in Alpine far enough away from the homeless areas of SD. I saw my first homeless man yesterday in Alpine pushing his shopping cart up the street I live on while getting my paper, I’m 1000ft down in a canyon from the road,I’ve been here since 78. I grew up in east SD and I won’t even going into that area anymore. The high school I went to was only 2 years old when I started there and now if lived there I’d be in the minority. The school speaks 26 dialects. There are many places I’d like to live in the US but they all get too cold for me. Larry W.

It seems like the rural areas in California are the best places to be. It's a shame how far the populated areas have fallen, as far as quality of life goes. Sad.
