I used to fish the Hoh and others up there, down in Tx now. I don't know if he's still around but the guy that owns Olympic Sporting Goods was a fella named Bob & I used to call him to ask about conditions. Every fisherman & guide around goes in there & he was a good resource. 360-207-4330 was the number but it's been a lot of years since I've been up there to fish.

I’m going up there in the first week of January

It's been wet & cold every time I've floated it! Good luck, they ought to be in there then.
We run down to the Louisiana coast now - best fishing I've ever had. Big Tuna, Red Snapper, Wahoo & stuff like that offshore and in the marshes lots of speckled trout (real good eating) and Redfish. Locally (DFW) we fish for Stripers and I like crappie fishing out of my kayak. Probably go this afternoon - it's in the high 60's! Anyway, best of luck amigo & have a Merry Christmas.
