Lake Amador

Anyone been to Lake Amador. Thinking about going there. Researching says they often stock the lake and have trophy size trout . 2 hr drive for me but if I have a chance on landing a trophy size trout I’m fine with the drive. Also they plans lightning trout too. Any tips, info would be appreciated to help me decide to go or not. Thx in advance

Camanche would be closer and they stock the same as Amador. We’ve fished the south pond and have had exceptional success. They also stock the lake with trout too. Good luck and tight lines!

He fishes it alot and catches HUGE Trout. 🤠👍

Thx for that, Amador has their own hatchery at the lake so from what I read the plant every week. Their trophy size range in the 10+ lb category. Seen some pics of 18-19 lb bows

Yeah thx, I just called them today n game helpful info. Said a 10 year old girl just a few days ago caught a 10 lb bow. I want one !!

Hey Steve, i think that it’s lake Almanor that DesignBuilder1 fishes regularly. Not lake Amador.
