It's interesting to note that Greek Coffee is boiled instead of brewed.
To properly boil Greek Coffee place the finely ground Coffee in the receptacle year using and pour boiling water over it. Much like loose leaf tea. Be careful not to drink the grounds. However if you do they won't harm you.
The boiled water enhances the caffeine content as well as the nutrients, because it is in contact with the water longer.
I'm definitely going to try it.

Sounds like kind of like what my parents did when we went camping. They had one of those blue camping coffee pots they kept on the grill over the camp fire the whole 2 weeks we were there, only adding water and more coffee grounds until they had to empty it out and rinse when there got to be too many grounds in the pot.

I've actually done that several times. We refer to it as a cup of sludge.

I've actually done the same when working in a hot humid environment. It replaced the salt lost through perspiration. It also adds some additional flavor.
I know it sounds ludicrous to drink a hot beverage in hot weather, but it's actually quite satisfying.

My nephew had a book a out cowboys & it covered chuckwagon cooking somewhat - I have not yet tried this but the claim was "best coffee ever":
Boil the grounds directly in the coffee pot water, then when to use enough, crack an egg into the whole mess, shell & all....
Claim is that the egg gloms onto the grounds & the eggshell adds calcium that knocks the acid edge off = smooth cuppa joe.
Need to see if this is legit.
The book seemed pretty official.

When we had campfire coffee ( sludge ) in the bush in Alaska. Our camp cook put eggshells in the coffee . The claim was the eggshells helped the coffee grounds to sink to the bottom of the pot.

Hello stagers,
I just read a article published by Martha Stewart on obtaining the perfect cup of coffee. It involves adding water during the grinding process.
Many of us buy our coffee preground in cans.
So I'm reaching out to you, the real experts, how do you prepare the perfect cup of coffee?
