Wondering if anyone ever went for crappie out of lake Erie?
I never have and honestly have never heard of anyone else fishing for them. But I know there are guides that take people on pan fish trips very successfully! So if you knew where to look you could probably find them.
The perch fishing has been great right off the west lighthouse on the Cuyahoga harbor. In case you’re looking for some tasty fish.

That was one of the few places I was going to suggest.
I've never fished for crappie on Lake Erie, but know people that have in the backwaters and around marinas 👍

I'd check with ODNR if I was you about fishing around marina docks. I've heard story's of them saying your trespassing. I've always thought if your in a boat your good just don't hit a boat with yours 🤪. Them perch are excellent eating to. Good luck and share your pics man 👍
Nobody personally owns the lake water ,you can fish it .
