Welcome to the stage. My brother used to live in Tawas. I’m not into musky fishing, but I’m sure someone will be around to help you.

Suggest you contact the Muskies, Inc. organization and join them if there is a chapter near you. They are a premier
group that can give you lots of help. I was a member for several years before our local group dissipated.

Hi Sam,
Welcome!
I can help you. Message me directly and I can offer some help, locations etc.
But I am located in the opposite corner of the state, right across Lake Michigan from Chicago.
So, I am not familiar with the lakes up in your direction.
I spend plenty of time in Northern Wisconsin fishing muskies.

Thanks.

Sincerely,
John

I fish the Chain out of Ellsworth and Central Lake. Great place to ice fish for them.

The entire Taquamenon River is full of musky. That lower falls section you mentioned is a great place. Last summer I fished the last mile as it goes into Whitefish Bay waters. Another I’m going back to is Dollarville Flooding. One hard fish to catch.
