Speaking of giving up things, " Cell Phones " I countered a statement from a user on here that said we can no longer live with out cell phones especially in vehicle use. Never heard back from the guy.

I feel we can get along just fine without them and for cell phones that is such an easy fix if it were mandated by one with Cahonas.

You are right on. And you know, most ordinary people could care less what their opinion is. They need to stay in their own lane, because they certainly don’t drive in ours. If you do, that’s your business, but I don’t watch them pro sports, and most certainly don’t watch or get sad when The Ohio State Buckeyes win or loose. IMO college sports have become big business, and education has become second, except for tuition, it’s always over priced. And Uncle Joe wants you to pay for it.

How are they going to keep track of you? How did we ever live with a landline phone? Remember how great the answering was. But businesses still use them, don’t they, or have you talked to a mortal human being instead of a computer with prompts.

That’s a foul in my thinking. None of them should be paid. They have a lot of perks provided by the college. College is a stepping stone to a pro career. Why should they be paid? And some colleges use the value issue to get them to commit. You’ll get more here.

My step kids had cellphones before my wife and I got ours, we had a landline. The kids started arguing about what was on TV and when I just turned the TV off, they threatened to call their dad. Mom came home that weekend from driving truck and we talked about it. In the end we took the cellphones away and locked them in my gun cabinet. We also turned the TVs around and took the plug in cords off them. We went a year without either. Best thing we ever did for the kids, was also good for us as well.
