Went out with my boat co-owner despite the marine forecast of 5’ swell, 1’ wind waves and 12 kt winds. The swell was there at Point Bonita but beyond that it wasn’t, wind waves and wind were there though and made for a choppy and hard to navigate crabbing day. Despite that we got our limits in a few hours and not a single one under 6 1/4” and many over. Too busy to take any pics except back at the dock. Headed out again on Wednesday.

Thanks Steve. It was another day you would not have been comfortable with, wish the seas would calm enough to get you out, but I think they never will, only the Bay would ever be calm enough for you….. Congrats to you and Ben, I was wondering if the Stripers were still active in the rivers.

Yeah some are around but it's winter time fishin. Cold and usually not that many fish to be found.

Good morning Mr. Grit.
There is no water on your catch in the latest pics. Are you seeing any change in the survival of the crabs? Just curious. No load of crustaceans.

Looks like you enjoy crabbing as much as I do.

Watch out for those things that go bump in the fog.
