Many of you followed my grandsons run last year as they won the state championship. Well, Granite Hills is back at it. Copied this recap and picture from my son which tells it all.

Congrats to my son’s High School Alma Mater (Granite Hills High School) …. D2 State Champions my son’s Senior Year. This year Granite Hills moves up to the highest Division in San Diego High School Football and knocks off an undefeated Carlsbad team led by the Top QB Recruit in the Country (committed to Alabama) in the Open Division Semi Finals (46-45 in Overtime)… And then came back last night for the CIF Championship at Snapdragon Stadium and beat an undefeated Lincoln team led by QB Oregon Commit Akili Smith Jr (Some of you football fans might remember his Dad who won the Heisman Trophy and played in the NFL). Oh and we beat them both with a Freshman QB no less… Wow!!!

I wouldn’t want to be playing directly across the line from number 56 in that pic. He looks pretty stout, but you will probably tell me he wasn’t even a starter…..lol. There is another guy in the pic, right above the EG in the San Diego banner that looks like a twin to number 56, but is sporting a beard. Are those guys related? Well, anyway, congrats to GHHS. Tell the boys to celebrate by going out to El Cap Reservoir and catching a 5 lb LMB.
