Got to get out for a couple hours this morning before the wind got up. Only caught 1 and had one jump off right at the boat and another I just couldn't get my hands on before it pulled off, or I knocked it off. One of these days I'm gonna buy a net, either the fish are getting faster and stronger or I'm getting slower and just can't hold on to them. All of the hits came on a 5/16 jig in 8 to 12 feet of water. It was nice to get out, flat water for a couple hours then the wind got up so I called in a day.

Nice catch Mike. I was looking for the Brown ones yesterday but couldn't find any. A net not a bad idea buddy.

Nets can be very helpful for keeping hooks out of arms, hands and fingers.

I find using a net the fish tend to be more chilled, less stress on the fish, and lose as many.
