Took advantage of the warm spell and hit Lilly for my last trip in the boat. 46° at the ramp, and the water was 49°. Lots of floating wood and debris since they raised the water level after the drawdown. No luck up in the cove or any mainlake flats. All the deep fish were Rockies. Headed (carefully) down to Pond Brook, and found more Rockies outside the mouth. Inside I found some small Largemouth and one decent 1.5lb fish. The next couple passes over the school resulted in 2 rigs getting bit off by toothy critters. I didn't feel like dealing with them so I called it a day. The weather for the next couple weeks looks cold, so I'll winterize the boat next week and put her to bed. Hopefully I'll get out to hit a bank or 2 before the snow flies.
Lots of wood floating and washed up on the ramp
Most of the deep fish I found were Rock Bass
Beautiful calm day on the lake
The only decent fish of the day, 1lb 9oz

Well, Fred Ya had a decent day with no Mr. Stinky involved. No slime either. So, stash the boat and wait for the forthysia and the peepers & stuff. There's plenty of time now to clean, organize & repair your gear. Thanx for all of your reports, it's great that you don't hold back with the locations and details.
Too bad I can't do much fishing any more except for flat, accessible areas or handicapped sites, I waited too long to get together with ya, but enjoyed fishing vicariously with you. 🥜 .

That’s a nice, healthy looking (fat) bass! Thanks for sharing, Fred.

Thanks Maxx. I enjoy sharing details so those who can't get out can experience a day on the water. Hopefully I'll be able to hit a bank or 2 before I put the rods away.
We'll have to get together for a coffee or lunch sometime during the winter.
Glad you enjoyed my time on the water my friend.

Thanks Jimmy. Some Smallmouth would have been nice, but at least no skunk.

I'm looking forward to getting together with you. We'll find somewhere in the middle ( geographically) and make it happen !

Oh no time to tuck the baby in for a long winters nap.
I only fired mine up one time.
That was in the driveway 😣

Ending the season on the positive side with locations marked for next year Fred good for you.
Cover her up good going to be a chill in the air for awhile, so pull her plug and let her hibernate until warmer days not that far away.

Yeah Butch, I'll empty her out next week, fog the motor and run some antifreeze through it. Then tarp her up. 🙁
