Decided to drive 10 minutes to local fishing pier in Great EggHarbor Bay and fish incoming tide.
Air temp was 37 w 7 mph wind from North. First 10 minutes 28” on a plastic eel w 3/8 jig head.
Lost a second one that was stripping my line and ran under pier, I lost pressure for a second and he was gone. One that got away always hurts but better then watching tv. I’m gonna try to get better at my selfies😁
I was happier then I look, just cold 🥶

That’s outstanding. I only saw hundreds of fishermen catch one undersized striped bass in 59 trips to Manasquan this year.

Thanks Bands, I’ve done fairly well there this fall but mostly residence. That’s my biggest fish there this year. I’ve been wanting to get up your way this fall but been busy w work and can’t really take a day now.

It's a litle cooler these days. Maybe thatcwill push some of them further south.

Thanks Fred, my first slot this year but I released him. I might take one or two a year but mostly like catching them.

Yea I’m not sure where the schools are I’m a little out of touch this year, but they mostly moved offshore by the time they got this far south last couple years. Always a few stragglers though
