Got out this morning for my Wednesday 1/2 day and found a few keepers. Lots of little ones mixed in the morning. I had a Bald Eagle ๐Ÿฆ… watching me for quite awhile. There's a beating pair that is fairly close to where I always fish during the summer. Cold today with a SSE wind but I found some in a small cove. Got 7 keepers today makes just the right sized package for the freezer. ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ

Bundle up and be safe. I'm hoping to get out Friday also if the weather holds. I had wind and spotty rain this morning. All those extra clothes are a Royal pain. Good luck to you my friend. Not many days left๐Ÿฅถ๐Ÿฅถ๐Ÿฅถ๐Ÿฅถ๐Ÿฅถ๐Ÿฅถ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ

We have some rain now, and into tomorrow. Friday will be dry, but breezy, 32ยฐ- 55ยฐ. There might be a couple 60ยฐ days next week. The clock is definitely winding down brother.

Nice. Interesting you take 7 for a meal. I always shoot for 8 to feed two of us. 10 is perfect for tacos with the leftovers. Of course size comes into play as well. With 8 fish we get 8 breaded fillets each. Sometimes a fish is big enough to cut the fillets in half which is again a game changer. Yellow perch are my favorite freshwater fish to eat. After my last trip doing a comparison of small mouth, crappie, walleye, and perch all cooked together, the perch came out on top without exception. All the fish were caught on Banks Lake. They were cleaned, iced and cooked the next day. Enjoy and keep catching.

Great, I. feel a system shock is coming soon for all of us up north, I believe Fred has the right idea to just sleep through it all. Hope we all can enjoy safely the last few remaining days. Last season it was much colder this time of year . I tried to launch the first day of deer season( weekend before T-day and there was too much shore ice to get on the water. We'll all take what it gives us๐Ÿค—๐Ÿธ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ

I didn't choose just 7 but rather time restrictions played a big part in that . I would have fished all day if permitted to add to the bounty. The smaller bags allow me to share some of my catch with others who have never tried these fish and it gives them a good sample to see if they like it? So far they are all asking for more. Go figure,๐Ÿ™๐Ÿค—๐Ÿธ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ

Fred, I'm trying an idea out that I just came on with using a bread tie to keep small pieces of crawler elongated on the hook in an attempt to keep it from ending balled up on the end of the hook. Basically a poor man's bait keeper. I'll give it a try tomorrow and see how it works out. ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ

Nice perch! What were you using for bait and how deep did you find them?
