Well, went fishing at Silver creek yesterday. Pretty gusty winds all day, but it was blowing from behind us. My brother and I were using fly rods. After fishing for 7 hrs, I didn't get a strike :(. I haven't changed so many flies ever. tried terrestials san juan worms, midges and a lot more. We had 2 friends that were using spinning rods and using 3 inch Senko worms. One of the guys caught 6 of those monsters. I called him a pig. Anyways--catch and release. No-one had a big enough frying pan anyways. These are hatchery fish....My brother finally got one on, but it broke his line. He (like me) were using 5 wt rod/reel. I'm kinda glad I didn't get one, would've been a tough fight. Should have brought my 8 wt salmon setup. Biggest rainbow I've ever seen. Well, to Lees ferry in 2 wks.

Absolutely the last place I ever expected to get into big rainbows....best kept not so secret in Arizona. Wonderful spring creek!

Darn Retired last time I saw bows that big actually was at a hatchery in Wva.
Big ole breeders Bows n browns.
