I'm here in Bradenton, and would love to get some advice and locations of saltwater fishing from Sarasota, Bradenton, Anna Maria Island, and up to the DUNEDIN, Florida areas. Thanks for your input. Ray W.

Emerson's point is your best bet, you can wade or fish from a kayak or by boat. It's a great place for Snook and Red's gotta check it out.. Also the Rod&Reel Pier on Anna Maria is good too they have bait and a great place to eat (try the grouper sandwich 😋)
Let me know how you do and post pictures, thanks Chuck 🙏

Thanks for your input Chuck. The Doctor told me to not put my legs in the Saltwater. I have bad vein and skin issues. I will probably go to the Anna Maria City Pier. There's a little more room, and also late afternoon Happy Hour. The wife and I loved the Rose Park Pier, but, it got destroyed by the hurricane. Is slow as they are, who knows when it will get repaired. Thanks again Ray W.

Try Bridge Street Pier at Bradenton Beach. Bait shop is on pier and they have live shrimp. I’ll be there one day next week. Have caught sheepshead, flounder, mangrove snapper, blue runner, baby grouper and false albacore.

Hey Ray, on my way down next week for the winter, been fishing the Bradenton, Anna Maria area for 10 years. The red tide has really hurt the area. I usually fish Anna Maria on the beach, inlet or the ICW wading. I am not a pier "GUY" so not into them, rod N reel pier well known but usually have regulars with specific fishing spots, parking can also be a problem. Maybe go before sunup and see how it goes. Anna Maria is nice and plenty of free parking. Need to go early before the beach crowd, even in winter. Will keep you advised as time goes and can get some pics to you of successes.

Years ago it was good to get in salt water, but now with all the chemicals they have dumped in Tampa bay from Piney Point causing fish kill and lots of dead grass fishing has been different but it seems to be recovering some 🙏 fishing is still good if you know where to go 🎣🎣
