I started out today around 11:00 am . Talked to myself the whole way down to the lake. More or less was calling myself anything but a "bright "individual at this time. When I got to the lake ( no snowplows the first 10 miles)!. The sky looked pretty nice, this would change I got out on my spot and set the umbrella in the holder and the snow started. The wind wasn't too bad NNW around 8-9 mph. Moved a little a few times and caught a bunch of small ones 8-9 " with a few bigger ones mixed in enough to keep me interested. Got two 3#+ LM also only took one picture because the weather was not camera friendly and everything I had was soaked except my spirit. I had to settle for a white bucket ๐ . Another Andy has the trademark Green bucket and I wouldn't dream of using his trade mark ๐๐ค. Ended up with some over 12 and all over 10" ..... 24 total and one gill. Took a few moments to thaw out once I was home and the dog helped filet ( guard) the fish they were still flopping around in the bucket and he gets concerned they might get out and get his bone. It was an exciting day to say the least, only a few days left.๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐บ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ

Look at you, doing your Nanook of the north imitation. Nice catching buddy! Some nice meals there, and a few Bass for fun.
Hopefully you get a few more, warmer days to get the yak out. Thanks for the pictures brother.

It had it's moments with the snow starting to fill the yac, especially when it slid off the umbrella. Might possibly have a fish fry for Thanksgiving!! . A little different but more thankful for the fish and weather that allowed it than a big dead bird!! " just sayn',". Hope to get a few more days in before I put the yac up for the winter. Saturday looking pretty inviting. Have to really pay close attention to the wind speed it can wreck this end of the lake and I really want to stay above the water. ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐บ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ

Sounds like a great meal to me.
We have a little warm up coming for the next few days. Tomorrow will be decent, but the wind is looking like 8-12 with gusts to 20. Too much for me so Saturday will probably be the better choice. 3-5with gusts to 10 sounds much better and the weekend warriors are pretty much done for the year. Good luck and stay dry my friend.

Hey plumbob, the roads were the worst part of the whole outing, didn't really get too cold till about an hour before I wrapped it up for the day. Caught just enough sizeable ones to just keep that one more cast attitude. The bass really surprised me by hitting on 1" pieces of worm. Maybe it resembled a frog??? ๐คช. My hands took a beating from the cold and those sharp finned perch. A gill plate on a little one laid open the top of my finger right above my nail and do you think it would quite bleeding?? ๐คฌ. Also buried a hook in my finger inside the first knuckle and was so cold I didn't feel it till I got home. Thanks to no barb it came right out. Maybe a few trips left this year if the ice stays off the shoreline. ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐บ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ

I agree Fred, I only see and hear a few duck hunters in boats. Most likely be wearing my ridged PFD from here on out the inflatable can be used in warmer water , just in case! Hope you get a chance to get out . I'm off to teach my art group now. ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ๐บ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ
